Cancellations & Refunds Policy

At LawCrust Global Outreach Foundation, we are committed to providing a transparent and fair process for all financial transactions conducted on our platform. This policy governs cancellations and refunds for all our paid services.

Because our platform facilitates different types of transactions—including project-based payments, event registrations, and potential subscription fees—we ask that you carefully review the section relevant to your specific purchase. This policy is an integral part of our Terms of Use.

Platform Membership / Subscription Fees

This section applies to any premium membership or recurring subscription plans offered by LawCrust.

  • Cancellation by User: You may cancel your premium membership or subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period (monthly or annually). You will retain access to premium features until your current subscription period expires.
  • Refunds: All subscription fees are non-refundable. When you purchase a subscription, you are paying for access to the platform’s premium features for the entire duration of that billing period. We do not provide refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods. The only exception is in the case of a documented billing error on our part, which should be reported to our support team within seven (7) days of the transaction.

Project-Based Engagements

This is the most detailed section, governing payments made between organizations and professionals for work facilitated through our Opportunity Board. LawCrust acts as a facilitator to ensure fairness and security for both parties.

  • Cancellation by the Organization (Client):
    • Before the project begins: If you cancel a project after selecting a professional but before any work has commenced (as defined in the Statement of Work), you are eligible for a full refund of any funds paid, minus a non-refundable platform service fee of 5%.
    • After the project begins: You cannot receive a refund for milestones that you have already approved and for which payment has been released to the professional. If you cancel a project mid-milestone, any refund for the active milestone is subject to the amount of work completed and must be mutually agreed upon with the professional. If an agreement cannot be reached, it will be subject to our Dispute Resolution process.
  • Cancellation by the Professional (Talent):
    • Before the project begins: If you cancel after being selected but before starting work, the organization will receive a full refund. This may negatively impact your platform rating and eligibility for future projects.
    • After the project begins: If you must cancel, you will be compensated only for milestones that have been fully completed and approved by the organization. The organization will receive a full refund for any funds held for incomplete or un-started milestones.
  • Dispute Resolution: In the event of a cancellation dispute, LawCrust will act as a mediator. Our decision will be based on the original Statement of Work (SOW), communication records on the platform, and evidence of work completed.

This section applies to tickets or registration fees for any virtual or in-person events hosted by LawCrust.

  • Cancellation by Registrant (You):
    • Cancellation 14 days or more before the event: You are eligible for a full refund, minus a nominal processing fee.
    • Cancellation between 7 and 13 days before the event: You are eligible for a 50% refund.
    • Cancellation less than 7 days before the event: No refunds will be issued, as commitments to event resources will have already been made. However, you may transfer your ticket to another individual if you notify us at least 48 hours before the event.
  • Cancellation by LawCrust: In the unlikely event that we must cancel an event, all registered participants will be notified immediately and will receive a full 100% refund of the registration fee.

Donations

As a non-profit organization, we rely on public support to achieve our mission.

  • Donations made to LawCrust Global Outreach Foundation are considered final and are not refundable. We are deeply grateful for your support, which is immediately put to use to fund our programs.
  • If you believe a donation was made in error or was a duplicate transaction, please contact us within 24 hours. We will review the case and may issue a refund at our discretion.

How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

All requests must be submitted in writing to our support team. Please include your full name, transaction date, and a clear reason for your request.

  • For Projects & Subscriptions: Please use the official channels within your account dashboard or contact support@lawcrust.org.
  • For Events & Donations: Please contact billing@lawcrust.org.

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 7-10 business days to the original method of payment.
